There were 133 macro moths of 23 species in the bait and light traps last night. 42 of these were Glassy Cutworms (Apamea devastator) and 25 were Thoughtful Apameas (Apamea cogitata). These are definitely my most common backyard species. The only new moth was a difficult to identify Abagrotis sp. There were 3 Underwings in the bait again, 1 Briseis and 2 Semirelict. I've added a photograph of an Obelisk Dart (Euxoa obeliscoides) which was in a better condition that yesterdays specimen.
